The process of making a video gets a bad rap, and that's why we want to dispel some of the common misconceptions you may have heard about the video creation process. We aim to make the process easy for you, because let's face it, making a video is hard (and that's not a misconception, it's a real challenge!)
I have no idea what I'm doing, I couldn't possibly make a video
Don't worry, we aren't going to ask you to set the dials on the camera. You don't have to know anything about making a video or filmmaking to run a successful video project with us. We make it easy for you, we're there to answer any and every question you have, we respond quickly to your needs, and we are constantly working to make newer and better tools that will help guide you every step of the way.
Sure, making a video is difficult, and it comes with a variety of challenges, but we'll never leave you hanging. Every project we do is outfitted with a director who intimately knows your story and can speak to you about what your goals are, and a producer who will intimately know your logistics and schedule, so that they can work with you hand-in-hand to make sure that the production is running like a well oiled machine.
You are going to make it sound complicated so that you can justify overcharging me
Nope! We are going to be realistic in our expectations, and pragmatic in our recommendations. We are working together to help you make the best video, we want to hear your great ideas, we want to listen to your valuable input, and we want to show up and have everything go perfectly and smoothly.
Now wait, that last one doesn't always happen. That's because what is true is that a video has a lot of moving parts, things you've probably never heard of like "Cinematographer" and "Noise Reduction." And sometimes one of those parts doesn't always work perfectly, but a video is like a language, and there are a lot of different ways to say the same thing. We'll walk you through speaking that language every step of the way so that when we need to turn left where we should have turned right, we're all in it together.
That's going to cost a fortune
It's true that videos can be expensive, but it's also true that you can accomplish the same thing on a budget. One of the first things we want to find out from you when we talk about your video project is what sort of budget you have in mind so that as we begin to build out a proposal we know what to recommend as a reasonable cost.
We'll always let you know what something costs, we'll be up front about those costs, and transparent about our decisions. We want to make sure that we are fitting inside of your budget range, while still providing you with a beautiful, high quality video product. Our aim is never to explode the budget with toys and gadgets, but rather to find just the right tool for the job, and implement with the right people.
All video production companies are the same
No two companies are the same, even if we all have beautiful slow motion shots of industrial machinery. That's because from one company to another you'll find different interpretations of the same story, and it's important to discover how a video production company will take your vision and your story and bring it to life in a video.
There are intricate differences between companies. Some companies will be entirely in-house, while others will work with a trusted team of freelancers. Some companies own their equipment while others will work with you to find out what your production will look like and chooses to rent just the right equipment to do the job.
And while these may seem like big differences, the thing that is important for you to consider is how your company or organization is going to look, and what goals you want to achieve. If you can find a partner who believes in who you are and wants to help you hit your goals, then you've found the right place.
Our recommendation is to always ask a video production company how they plan to bring your story to life. Remember that you'll be working hand-in-hand with the team for 6-8 weeks (maybe longer), and so you want to find people who you are going to enjoy working with. Think of us like your newest remote co-worker, we'll be talking often, we'll be working together during the shoot, and we'll be in constant contact as we work on editing the video.
I'm not even sure why I'm making a video, I don't see how it can help us
This is only true if we don't deliver on our promise to make you an amazing video. There is a video on nearly every modern website and customers respond to videos with their hearts in a way that they don't respond to direct sales.
We want to create a video for you that tells a story, that takes the viewer on an emotional journey. We're helping you tell your story, and your story sells your product. We believe that video is the best way to take your customers and tell them a story that will touch them.
Now we just have to spend some time learning about you so that we can help you engage with your customers.
Let us help tell your story.
