Finding inspiration in all the right places

I want to make a video, but I don't even know what a good video looks like.

If you've been around the corporate world long enough you've seen a "corporate video." The one where your boss is on camera looking awkwardly off frame, with the lighting on his face shockingly unflattering, and some graphics that use Papyrus or Comic Sans.

Luckily, that's not what we do.

Helping you figure out what you like in a video is the first step in providing you with something amazing. We will provide resources that help you find the kinds of videos that will inspire you and make you jump for joy or cry happy tears.

We are always happy to help you with your video needs, so if you are simply looking for advice on videos to check out as you think about the video you want to create, we'll be happy to do that for you. You can e-mail us at howdy@forgeanddiscover.com.

Below is a list of some of our favorite videos from around the web that inspire us, and then a guide for where you can find an amazing reservoir of video content online.

Be inspired to see the world

See the incredible ways brands are talking to their customers

See how motion graphics have changed

These are just a few of the things that we look at regularly to inspire us, to help us come up with fresh new ideas, so that we can help you make a video that will knock their socks off.

But wait, there's more!

The internet is full of great videos, and below is a small list of places where you can find some of those great videos, so that you too can be inspired on a daily basis by the amazing work that is out there.

Vimeo - Channels

Vimeo - Certified Fresh

Devour - A collection of great videos from around the web

AEScripts - Inspiration Channel

But this isn't the whole list, because once you start to find things that inspire you, you start to form your own list. We keep a folder on our server of videos that we find and want to share with each other, and we use these as a way of communicating our own ideas, and our own desires when creating a new piece of video content.

Go forth and be inspired!
